An EPC Contract for Phase II was signed with SNC-Lavalin, a major Canadian engineering company and Shanghai Foreign Economic Cooperation Organization (SFECO) of China.
The second phase which includes the following has been completed and certified in Q1 2007:
- Increase of storage capacity at Port Qasim by a further 4,500 MT to 6,530 MT
- Construction of an import terminal with 3.6 KM trestle and jetty capable of handling vessels of up to 15,000 MT of LPG expandable to 80,000 MT vessels
- Construction of three regional distribution centers near Islamabad, Lahore and Quetta
- The three regional distribution centers are equipped with 500 MT storage and semi automated bottling plant by Kosan Crisplant
- A transshipment terminal at Taftan to handle product being imported by land from Turkmenistan
